Biden expressed concern about the possible complications of a peaceful transfer of power in the event of Trump’s defeat.

US President Joe Biden expressed concern about the possibility of a peaceful transfer of power in the event of Donald Trump’s defeat in the 2024 presidential election. He stated this in an interview with CBS News, which became the first after the announcement of his decision not to participate in the elections.

Biden noted that he is not sure that Trump, who has already become the Republican candidate, will accept the election results in the event of a loss.

When asked if he was confident that a peaceful transfer of power would take place in January 2025, Biden said no.

“If Trump loses, I’m not sure at all. He is serious, all these words that “if we lose, there will be a bloody massacre, the election will have to be stolen.” Look at what they’re trying to do now in the local executive districts where people are counting the votes,” Biden said.

Elections in the USA are scheduled for November 5, 2024.

The newly elected president and vice president will take office on January 20, 2025. The main candidates are Vice President Kamala Harris from the Democrats and former President Donald Trump from the Republicans.

Trump and Harris have agreed to a debate, but their terms differ. Trump has said he is ready for a Sept. 4 debate on Fox News, while Harris’ staff is pushing for a Sept. 10 debate on ABS News.

It was previously reported that the US did not communicate directly with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in preparation for a major prisoner exchange.

We will remind you that on August 1, a large exchange of prisoners took place between Russia and Belarus on the one hand and Western countries on the other.

The largest exchange of prisoners in the history of relations between Moscow and Washington took place at the Ankara airport: 24 people took part in it at once. The Russian side handed over 16 people to the American side (this group included US citizens, dual citizens, and Russians), and the American side handed over eight people to Russia (all of whom are citizens of the Russian Federation).

As reported, the negotiations between the West and Russia, which led to a major exchange of prisoners, began more than two years ago.

By the way, German investigators are unhappy with the release of Russian FSB killer Vadym Krasikov during the exchange of prisoners between Russia and the West, which took place on August 1.
